New Server Status
We tried at the end of last year to restore Fish-Works and introduce a number of new features; we quickly learned that the hosting situation at that time was not going to be adequate to handle the work load that the new forum would place on it. So we elected instead, at the recommendation of our server provider, that we would lease a separate server for the purpose of hosting Fish-Works.com. This would allow us plenty of playing room for the anticipated expansion of the site this year.
It was also hoped that the contents of the site could easily be migrated from the previous Fish-Works server over to the new Fish-Works server, it seems that nothing has gone as hoped or expected with this site in the past six months and that every change has brought about an immense amount of work. I have saved everyone’s email address and will email all of you individually as soon as the site is back up to snuff and ready for you to start making yourself at home again. L will dedicate as much time as I can to it and get it back up and running well in time for the spring salmon run and bass fishing activities in 2012. You may also want to bookmark the home page and drop in from time to time to see how things are progressing. If you would like to help and have some experience in this area please let me know, helping can include being a critique, don't think that I wasn't listening to those of you who slammed the site regarding page load times or worse yet page load time outs, not loading at all. Trust me when I say that this site is important to me and that I remain dedicated to it's survival and growth, I hope you do as well.
I was fortunate enough to secure a home with a commercial office attached, out on Hwy 101 this year, right in the heart of the business district and with that transition I should be in a better position to dedicate more time to the site in 2012. Like many of you I can't afford to go fishing (or take time out to work on the websites) without earning an income to offset my monthly expenses, More business in my case means more time for working on Fish-Works.com Need a website or improvements to your present one ? I'm ready, willing and able.
Please feel free to email kingfisher@fish-works.com with any needs, questions or comments you would like to share regarding the www.Fish-Works.com website and or your own personal website needs. ...
